For the word of the Lord holds true, and we can trust everything he does.

We must know this scripture from Psalm to walk humbly and in victory as disciples of Christ. The only way to know beyond simple head knowledge that God’s word is true and we can trust Him in everything is to experience challenges in our lives. Only then can we, like David, choose to trust God in fighting the lions and bears and giants that come against us. Only then can we learn and thus know in our heart without a doubt that God’s word is true and we can totally trust Him in everything. The trials that come our way are really blessings because they give us the opportunity to trust God in the battle and grow in faith. Though none of our trials are nice at the time, how sweet it is when we have overcome and walk through with a new testimony of God’s faithfulness on our lips.
